The Total Rewards Benefits Leader is a key individual contributor responsible for owning and administering the company’s benefits, compensation programs, and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) processes. This role supports our manufacturing operations in Aurora, Ohio, by ensuring employees receive competitive and compliant rewards, while maintaining accurate HR data and supporting process improvements. The position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and does not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration:
Manage the day-to-day administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefit programs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, claims, and enrollment issues.
Coordinate annual open enrollment and communicate benefits changes to staff.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, ACA).
Compensation:
Support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive plans, and wage surveys.
Conduct market benchmarking and internal equity analysis to recommend pay adjustments.
Assist in the development and communication of compensation policies and guidelines.
HRIS Administration:
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Generate reports for HR and business leaders to support decision-making.
Troubleshoot HRIS issues and collaborate with IT or vendors on system upgrades and enhancements.
Compliance & Reporting:
Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports related to benefits and compensation.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Employee Support:
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding total rewards programs.
Deliver training sessions and informational materials as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in benefits, compensation, and HRIS administration, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to benefits and compensation.
Proficiency with HRIS systems, Paylocity and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
