Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
Job Description Summary:
Research Assistant will work primarily at Rinker Campus (Chapman University) for 19 hours per week with Dr. RahulSoangra affiliated with Fowler school of Engineering and Department of Physical Therapy. The RA Staff will be funded by aNIH funded project and will be expected to develop machine learning models and embed models in smartphones. RA isexpected to collect data from human subjects and process data. Stroke patients using smartphone sensors. New ML modelswill be investigated for modeling stroke ADL. The role involves implementing data collection protocols, ensuring compliancewith HIPAA regulations and IRB-approved procedures, and assisting with participant recruitment. The ideal candidate willhave experience with human subject data collection and a strong background in biomedical engineering, motion capture
technology, and data processing.
