The EV Field Support Technician‘s job involves traveling to customer locations to install,
maintain, repair, commission, and troubleshoot EV equipment and systems ensuring customer
satisfaction and maximizing equipment uptime. This position will ensure seamless
communication between EV Charging systems and back-office management systems. They will
be responsible for reporting and analyzing test data as well as providing feedback and
suggestions to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of Electrical Components.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure EV chargers operate
efficiently.
• Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work with hands and small power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
and meet deadlines.
• Support daily test procedures to validate EV Chargers in accordance with Customer
Requirements.
• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and convey those
opportunities through written communications.
• Must be willing to Travel 50 percent of the time and have a clean DMV Record.
Preferred Skills
• Professional Experience in Electric Vehicle Industry.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical assembly drawings, and
manufacture data sheets/specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, software architects, design,
and testing, to ensure that all electrical assemblies meet the project requirements.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure EV chargers operate
efficiently.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during EV Charger operations on and
offsite.
• Troubleshoot electronics and equipment to perform required testing procedures safely
and accurately.
• Ensure that all electrical assemblies are completed safely, to the highest quality
standards, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all team members by ensuring that all safety
procedures are always followed
• Support daily test procedures to validate EV Chargers in accordance with Customer
Requirements.
• Support onboarding EVSE manufacturers and ongoing support of these partners
• Prepare and/or execute training and installation materials as required.
• Participate in teams to define and analyze root-cause of product failures.
