FLSA Status: Exempt
General Definition of Work
Performs difficult skilled technical work assisting with the designing, planning, and organizing of public works projects, supervising staff and operations, preparing reports, performing inspections of sites and sewer systems, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited
supervision of the District Engineer. Continuous supervision is exercised over all personnel in the
department.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field and considerable experience in the design and review process of public works related construction projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
